short trip to amsterdam it happened that we worked in hamburg (germany) since november 2002, and we had this ideea to spend a weekend elsewhere then hamburg, as we were bored of the city, spending there lot's of weekends - and except drinking, net-surfing and harbour seeing again, there was nothing to do there really. amsterdam is about 5-6 hours with train from hamburg, so it was no big deal to get there at early saturady afternoon. we rent a 3 bed hotel room for something like 90 euro per night, and it was above our expectations. we were 3: me, my girlfriend and a friend of mine, JJ, another big face on planet earth. first day we took the usual city tour, saw the downtown, van gogh museum from outside, and the city canals. the next is left on anyone's imagination. at night we took a walk in the red light district, and drink some beers and stuff. the weather was rainy that day, but on sunday there was an allday sunshine. unfortunatly i forgot the digit-cam in nightly mode, so the pictures didn't came out as i expected. then we took the flying machine again in the kadinski c.shop. it has a great atmosphere. the last thing we did was a boat tour on the canals, and then the way back to hamburg, after we succesfully lost our train. first and last, amsterdam is a great place with lot's of revelations and multicultural population, but i cannot imagine myself living there for a too long period. amsterdam would melt me, it would be just a matter of months.
